I LOVE this time of the year!

another sketch of my kitties, also been working all weekend on some halloween themed dolls, will post pics as soon as they're done!

I wish my own car was really this colorful, of course my hubby would not be caught dead in it if it was! LOL!

just goofing off and creating new banners for my website, also am using one for the background design and it will be used for some new business cards for me! Have a looksie!

just thought I'd include my two new kitties in my sketch this week. Of course the colors in this depiction of my kitchen are a bit embellished as I am not lucky enough to actually have a purple refrigerator!

Since it was such a hot weekend, it seemed like a nice fantasy to be floating in a boat in some colorful, far away place! :)

Since today was a gray rainy day, I did my "sunny" version of the lake just for fun!

4-day weekend....YAAYY!....but wait....

I have been looking forward to my 4-day weekend which starts tomorrow to get a leg up on some very much needed spring cleaning. Then, this morning I am watching the news when the lovely, 20-something weather girl suddenly rips off her "lovely, 20-something-weather-girl mask, sprouts two rather large thorny horns on the top of her head, releases a diabolical laugh (BWAH-HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAH) and announces that a heavy rainstorm will be hitting the Bay Area tomorrow and will last thru the weekend, subsiding just on time for me to return to work next Tuesday....*sigh*.....oh well.....with that being said, this will give me more time to work on my book and update my website....in the meantime, here is another sketch of my cat Ginger, who is in my book too!

Random Babblings

I finished two more pages in my book last night. So far, I am just sketching the pages in sequential order (or the chaotic order in my mind) LOL! :D I will have my niece, granddaughters, hubby & sister give me their feedback B-4 I color and add the short paragraphs! This is so fun for me, wish I could actually do something like this for a living! :)

Maybe someday...Ok, done gabbing for now, so I am uploading another of my colorful sketches depicting me and my cool cat Ginger...

Daffodils

My hubby surprised me with some gorgeous daffodils the other day, so since the weather is very hot and they are fading rather quickly, I decided to sketch them before they expire. Of course, I did embellish the colors of the room! Hahahahhah! Anyway, here it is....

Children's books & Old Friends....

After much consideration and encouragement from my friends/family, I have started illustrations for a children's book I am writing, had the story idea in my head for the past year, so it is quite easy to sketch out the illustrations I want to have in the book....will probably take a few months to complete, then I will submit it for copyright, then post on my website and perhaps look for a publisher, but that is a bit too far ahead for me to think right now! Also, found a very old/dear friend on myspace and facebook, been catching up with her as I have not seen her for the better part of the past 25-30 years! Can't believe it was the early 80's since I last saw her! Time sure does fly.....

Just posting some of my art, I love sketching/coloring, making dollies & handbags too! Safe to say I am an "Art Geek" :)

Sunday my hubby and I were walking around the lake and found a wallet. I looked thru the many cards in the wallet to find an i.d. card and finally found it. We then went to the address on the i.d. card and rang the buzzer on the door, no one answered. We ran our errands and came back a few hours later, still no luck...I then ran a zabasearch and there came up the same address as on this person's i.d. and there was a phone number. I called the number and got that horrible screechy screech one gets when trying to call a fax machine! This was no good, so I sat there for a bit, wondering how I was ever going to find this person! I then absent mindedly began rummaging thru the business cards in his wallet and randomly picked one to call. Luckily the person I contacted was a social friend of his, so she emailed him and he called me later that evening. I met him the next day outside a public grocery store and returned his wallet! Man, I was happy! Floating down the street, feeling as if the gods of good karma were smiling upon me! :) I went a few more places that day, and bought myself a goody (chocolate cake!) Then much later that evening, I was digging thru my wallet to fish out money to put into my niece's birthday card, and I found a two dollar bill in my wallet!!! WOW! I was stoked as I have always heard they are as lucky as ladybugs and I took it as a good sign for sure! :)
